These two horses are based off two figurines that I own. The brown racehorse's name is Cherokee, and the battle worn pinto's name is Jed.

Cherokee is a famous racehorse who lives on the Banjo Brooke horse farm. This farm is a safe haven for all horses around (And two bulls) domesticated and wild. He's new to the farm but quickly settles down and becomes quite a popular stallion. (The mares just adore him. ) However, he has one small problem, one he notices that is getting "worse".

Cherokee isn't attracted to any of the mares...

Yes, you guessed correctly. Cherokee always found it odd that he was never into mares much, but he tries to deny the fact that he's attracted male horses instead.

Jed was once a military horse, but after a few years of abuse and war, Jed was retired from the force and sent to be a police horse in New York. It was there that Jed learned that he was gay and had his first male lover.
Jed, after working with the police, truly retires to the Banjo Brooke Farm. It was there he meets Cherokee, whom he teaches that it is okay to love the same of the same gender.

Cherokee is very young (Racehorses are very young horses, which can often lead to several broken legs since their bones haven't had enough time to become sturdier.) He's three years old, meaning that he is on the verge of going from colt to stallion.

Jed is 15 years old--his life is half over. (Horses don't live to far past 30 years. The world's oldest horse died at about 36 years.)
To make his age more noticeable, I made his mane gray. Before, when he was younger, he had a blonde mane and tail.

This scene depicts Cherokee having told Jed his secret, and seeking comfort. Jed, who secretly loves Cherokee, comforts his fellow horse.
It is on the same night that Cherokee and Jed make love for the first time to each other, but sadly, this has negative effects...Cherokee, who is still in denial, accuses Jed of raping him. Jed tries to tell him that Cherokee had actually wanted it, but that he must've forgotten when he fell asleep soon thereafter.
